ANN TAYLOR SPOT

Ann Taylor's line turns 50 this year and their new, hip campaign is called
I AM ANN TAYLOR. Mason worked with creative veteran Larry Frey, who
wrote a poetic and focused piece to create a spec spot for the campaign
that was screened the last day of... you guessed it, the LA Shorts Fest.

BRYAN SINGER - Maverick Director

Mega Mace was chosen to edit together a tribute video for Bryan Singer
(Usual Suspects, Apt Pupil, X-MEN, X2) who was being honored with the LA Shorts Fest Maverick Award. Singer was moved by the fast-paced,
retrospect of his work, as edited together by Mega Mace's Senior Editor,
Rick Sebeck, and requested a copy from Mason personally.

RUSSO SIGNS ON TO VESTING

Music supervisor, Chris Jackson, was consulted regarding source music and ideas on a composer for an original score for Vesting, a D. Mason Bendewald short film. Chris' first thought was to recommend Jeff Russo, a member of the band TONIC. As it turns out, Mason and Jeff were old friends from NYC, a meeting was set up immediately - Jeff viewed the film and signed on enthusiastically.

Check back to view the trailer for Vesting and to hear Jeff's score.

9 SPOTS IN ONE WEEK!

Director John Minor and his company Birthmark Entertainment were having such a good month they had to hire MEGA MACE to help post 9 spots for "high-tech entertainment" giant Gameworks. Overloaded with additional music video work, John came to MEGA MACE to post Gameworks because, "I knew I could give instructions on the spots, do my other work, come back and have it all taken care of."

SUGA FREE

Up and coming director, Lyndon Howard, chose MEGA MACE after seeing just how far Senior Editor, Rick Sebeck, could take a tight post budget without skimping on quality or imagination. The single, "Thinkin," was recorded by rap artist Suga Free and is distributed by Laneway Records in Los Angeles, exclusively through Universal Music.

Johnny Rockets – "Where It’s At" :30 spot

The spot, directed by Nicholas Hill and produced by Level Seven in Los Angeles, was shot entirely on HD, and in it, the camera flies from outside the 60’s theme diner, through the door and around the exciting aspects of the Johnny Rockets' experience – nickels for the jukebox, dancing servers, and of course burgers and shakes. Editor Rick Sebeck had full confidence in composing the spot using MEGA MACE’s Final Cut Pro HD Online Suite. Using speed ramping, motion blurring, and some creative effects, Sebeck was able to combine over 15 takes into “one” 30 second camera movement, all within Final Cut Pro HD.
